Clarence A. "Bud" Beedie
January 12, 1943 - February 01, 2008
Born January 12, 1943 in Lawrence County, IN he was the son of James A. Beedie, Sr. and Mary Eileen (Hosea)
Jean. He married Theresa “Terry” Hanners on April 5, 1969 and she survives. He was a farmer and cattleman. He
was employed at General Motors for thirty-eight years as a machine repairman. He was a lifelong member of Dive Christian Church
and U.A.W. Local #440. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War where he served on the U.S.S. Oriskiny. He
received the National Defense Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. He graduated from Bedford High School in 1961 and played college
basketball at Tusculem College from 1963 – 1964. He enjoyed his grandchildren, fishing, farming and college basketball.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa “Terry”, his mother, Eileen, of Mitchell, one son, Jamison
Alexander Beedie and his wife Heather of Heltonville, one brother, James Arthur Beedie, Jr. and his wife Vicky of Bedford,
one sister, Janice Eileen Neely and her husband Roger S. of Oolitic, three grandchildren, Devon Paige Beedie, Kailee Adair
Beedie and Trinity Lauren Beedie. He was preceded in death by his father.

Bobby George Welch,65 of Pleasant Plains died April 17,
2007. He was a Navy Veteran a member of the VFW, American Lgion and the Campbell Station Baptist Church. He loved to fish,
hunt, and target practice. He was precede in death by his first wife: Lola Faye Hartsell, son: Ricky, and parents: George
and Mary Welch.
Survivors included his wife: Joan Hays Welch of Pleseant
Plains, sons: Bobby Welch and Donnita of Rosie, Ernie Welch of Pleseant Plains, grandchildren: Robbie Welch and wife Brittney
of Searcy, and Bradley Welch of Rosie.

James Earl " Jim" Forsythe
May 2, 1945 - August 5, 2005
He passed away in Lampe, Mo. in his home. He was preceded in death by two brothers Dwayne and Warren. He
is survived by his wife Stephanie, a son Joseph, and daughter Sheri.

Joe Buterbaugh

Born into a coal miner family in Ohio.
Joe joined the navy in 1955, married Marilyn in 1958.
Joe had enjoyed working on a-1 skyraider, and being with his shipmates. Joe enjoyed his
football and even played
while he was in Italy. Joe was always joking around
and loved to tell the stories of the places and people he knew.
Joe was honored to be in the navy and serve his country, he servered with the va-152
on the uss oriskany from 1964-1966.

Lt. Edd David Taylor
February 22, 1939 - August 29, 1965

Lt. Taylor ‘s plane was struck by ground fire while
on a search and rescue mission August 29, 1965. It was reported by his wingman that his plane crashed into a ridge
and burst into flames. Lt. Taylor was listed as killed in action, however, his body was not recovered. On January 2, 1996,
a joint United States/Socialist Republic of Vietnam team traveled to SonLa Province and conducted interviews with Vietnamese
villagers who supplied information. They conducted a survey of the crash site in October of 1999. The crash site was excavated
in March 2000 and remains were recovered and sent to Hawaii for DNA analysis. Lt. Taylor’s identity was confirmed.
Taylor was born in Heber Springs and graduated from
Heber Springs High School in 1957. He attended Southern State College in Magnolia. He entered the service as a naval aviation
cadet in July 1960 and received his commission and wings of gold December 1, 1961.
Lt. Taylor is survived by his parents, Mr and Mrs. Thomas H Taylor,
and a sister Anne.

Lt. Lawrence Scott Mailhes
December 16, 1940 - August 10, 1965

Lt. Mailhes entered theNavy as a Naval Aviation Cadet
and commenced Flight training in Pensacola, Fl. in May, 1962. He reported for duty with the Attack Squadron 152 in April
1965.
"Scott" was survived by his wife Beatrice Mailhes, and
daughter Nancy Marie, and his mother Mrs Nadia Mailhes.
